Can I get a traditional home construction loan for an IMD unit?
To date, we do not know of a financial institution that will provide home construction loans for container-based homes. However, that does not mean it is impossible. Check with your bank to find out if they would offer a loan or other solutions.
Does IMD offer financing?
IMD will not offer financing. Consult a bank for any financial inquiries. IMD will provide a sworn construction statement for your lender or investor on request for the container portion or your project.
Will I need a building permit?
Depending on the location, you may need a permit to build. It is your responsibility to acquire a building permit. Please contact your local officials for more information on the building permit process (requirements, length of time, cost, etc.) and any requirements such as energy codes.

Is there a warranty for IMD structures?
IMD provides a 1-year warranty on all products and honors any state required home warranties in the USA and product warranties beyond the 1-year IMD warranty.
