Where can IMD units be shipped?
IMD units can be shipped both domestically and internationally. It is your responsibility to arrange shipment of the IMD unit. Remember to obtain a shipping estimate, including any custom and importation costs, before your purchase.
How can IMD containers be delivered?
IMD units can be delivered via land, air or sea. As we receive requests from many areas we can’t list all potential delivery services. A quick Internet search may assist you in finding a delivery source near you.
Will IMD assist with the installation?
It is the responsibility of the buyer to set up the delivery of the unit, as well as the crane if necessary. IMD does not install its units. Don’t be afraid, this is an easy process which a DIYer or contractor can accomplish. As detailed in the process section, clients will need to prepare the necessary footings and foundation for the IMD container as well as the proper utilities (gas, electric, water and sewer or septic).
What if I want to live off-the-grid?
Set up becomes easier as you need fewer utility hook-ups. IMD offers upgrades such as incinerating toilets and photovoltaic kits. Water tanks can be built on top of the container at the site with additional structural requirements.
